2018 B&E Summit Recap

Nearly 60 business, education, and community leaders converged on LFCC's Corron Community Center for the 3rd Annual Business & Education Summit, where they spent the morning discussing the work that has been completed over the last year on The Workforce Initiative. Attendees also heard from Commonwealth Secretary of Education, Atif Qarni, and Chief Workforce Advisor, Megan Healy, about Virginia's goals for education and workforce development. The Initiative's 40+ Task Force Members continue to move forward through project packets. The packets represent objectives that have been identified for each of The Workforce Initiative's goals.

The Initiative is a collaborative, regional effort that seeks to build a skilled workforce to meet the current and future workforce needs of employers.
